Tradition Group has jointly developed bullet-proof vests of superior ballistic resistance together with the research institute of constructional materials and technical process MSTU named after N.E. Bauman. Superior ballistic resistance of the soft body armour material is achieved through special processing of the armoured material with carbon nanostructures.

Different types of bullet-proof vests are available according to different protection classes, including vests for hidden wearing (a «tank top» hidden under clothes or a «vest» under a business suit) and for outward wearing and a specialized assault body armour including a vest, neck section and a helmet.

Bullet-proof vests of «Kora-Phoenix» series

• «Kora-Phoenix» bullet-proof vests could be additionally completed by cervicobrachial section of soft bullet-proof protection according to 1^st protection class: weight — 0,5 kg., protection area — 10 sq. dm.
• All soft bullet-proof protection has anti-splinter resistance from being hit by explosives.
• The construction of all bullet-proof vests provides for effect on man by wearing effective weight which is about 2 times less than mass of item (backbone and shoulder girdle are unloaded). The space under vest is naturally ventilated. All bullet-proof vests have renewable warranty for a total time of 15 years of storage and service.
• «Kora-Phoenix» bullet-proof vest have been adopted by the Ministry of Home Affairs of Russia.

There are a license for development and manufacture of armament, certificate of conformance, medico-biological certificate (injury is less than light degree without loss of consciousness, offset for full vest area blow is up to 5 mm.), sanitary-hygienic certificate, gold medals of quality and exhibitions awards.

Specialized assault body armour

Technical Characteristics:

1. Main area of protection:

• vest 27 sq. dm. Protection Class 5 according to State Standards (armoured ceramics);
• neck section 4 sq. dm. Protection Class 3 according to State standards (steel armoured elements);
• helmet 16 sq. dm. 3 Protection Class according to Russian State standards (steel armoured elements);

2. Main area of soft body armour 46 sq. dm. Protection Class 1;
3. Protective eye-wear (abrasive protection 100 m/s);
4. Overall weight up to 21 kg, effective weight up to 9,5 kg;
5. Level of dynamic traumatic impact while hit by firearms:

• in the area of the vest maximum displacement up to 5 mm;
• in the neck and head area – none;
• in addition, inertial head support is provided at front impact from the airblast;

6. Protected body surface from being hit by long-barreled firearms and fragments of explosives is 90% from the front, from the back up to 70%, from the side up to 50%. 
7. Range of helmet turning angles on the horizontal axis – up to 90^о, vertical – up to 45^о.
8. Body armour allows the fighter to continue combat while being numerously hit.
