GeoMan™ — a new generation GIS developed to simplify the laborious task of computer modeling of virtual and augmented reality based on real geodata, 3D objects, photos of modeled terrain and other topographical data.
Application areas:
- settlement planning, architectural projects
- military and special squads training
- virtual and interactive museums, gaming
- city traffic simulation
Use GeoMan to optimize construction, communications and infrastructure within the existing environment using the methods of situational analysis and 3D modeling to create an optimal virtual model of an existing territory, based upon the input criteria and risks. Create simulations of accident scenarios and technogenic emergencies for energy power plant construction sites, gas pipeline construction and other construction projects in catastrophe-prone seismic and flood zones.
The system can be used for project research and investment projects in architectural design and construction, cadastral registration and actualization of spatial data, reconstruction and visualization of virtual historic monuments, museums, restoration of demolished worlds, as well as for developing transportation infrastructure optimization projects and testing traffic management project solutions, and finally for developing the systems of edutainment (entertaining education) and construction of multidimensional reality training simulator centers.
Main Features:
- Realistic model visualization & video clip creation using modern 3D computer graphics tools;
- High performance real-time modeling of large data volumes using modern highly-effective computing tools allows to create large and detailed scenes;
- All geo-spatial data is imported in OGC format for standardization and simplification and using data from any outside source;
- Each object on the layer is a special entity with properties, the geometrical representation of which reflects the nature of this object’s interaction with other elements of the model;
- Connections between layers are organized according to real life logic;
- The object’s properties can be easily changed using the Scenario Editing tool (e.g. for the «vehicle» object, its speed, direction of movement and frequency of appearance on the scene can be changed); this feature introduces the possibility of managing the scenarios;
- Open source components have been used to develop the system, saving potential system users from the need to purchase expensive additional software products, such as SQL Server, Oracle, ArcGis;
- The system is based on a client-server technology and can be used both as a network system or a local version. Basic system modules can be integrated into web-applications, creating a base for a GIS Internet portal (a Google equivalent);
- GeoMan™ provides GIS functions such as ability to work with spatial data, support of e-maps by layers, etc.; interface functions such as ability to work with the following databases — PostgreSQL, Oracle, dBase IV, MS Access; support of spatial objects visualization functions using OpenGL library; interoperability between Win32, Linux;
- Friendly and intuitive user interface; the system is a useful addition to 3ds Max or ArchiCAD as it allows to assemble large and detailed scenes in no time at all.
